Turkish Football Federation set to penalize clubs promoting illegal gambling

To combat unlawful betting ads in professional football, the Turkish Football Federation has implemented new rules.

Clubs found to be in violation of the new regulations will be subject to fines and, in the event of repeated infractions, a deduction of points, according to the Turkish Football Federation.

Any Turkish Super League club engaged in illegal betting promotions will be subject to a tiered penalty system under the new rules.

To enforce regulations against illegal betting ads, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has introduced a set of sanctions targeting Turkish Super League clubs. Clubs caught promoting unlicensed betting will initially face fines, with repeat violations leading to point deductions. This tiered penalty system aims to curb the presence of unapproved betting advertisements in Turkish football, ensuring adherence to legal standards and safeguarding the integrity of the sport. The TFF's approach emphasizes compliance through progressively strict consequences, reflecting its commitment to maintaining a lawful and ethical football environment.
