Tysons casino proponent to introduce new bill in January

Legislators in Virginia are debating a bill that might increase the commercial gaming sector in Northern Virginia. The bill would give local voters a say in a possible new commercial casino in Tysons and is anticipated to be filed in January.

In any event, lawmakers would not be the only ones with a say in whether or not Tysons should have a casino. The idea has been largely rejected by Fairfax County leaders and associations, despite the promises of economic benefits.
