UK deadline approaches for new age-verification rules for gambling machines

The deadline for Great Britain's new age verification laws pertaining to gaming machines is drawing near. As of August 30, land-based casinos and amusement providers have to make sure they have procedures in place before challenging players who appear to be younger than 25.

The new regulation from the Gambling Commission is applicable to bingo halls, betting shops, and amusement arcades that have Family Entertainment Centers in addition to Adult Gaming Centers. It replaces the earlier mandate that players who looked under 21 must be checked.
