The new appointee was appointed by the Secretary of State and will begin serving on February 1, 2025. Since April of this year, he has served as the gambling agency’s Senior Independent Director. Prior to this, from April 2019 to March 2023, he served as the CEO of The Pensions Regulator. He has previously served as the CEO of the Money Advice Service and the Executive Director of Automatic Enrolment at the same government agency. The new gambling interim chair was responsible for creating a corporate strategy that placed pension savers at the centre of the non-departmental service while he was the CEO of The Pensions Regulator.
