UK Gambling Commission statistics reveal rise in number of gamblers

There were at least 4.1 million active players on slots in the fourth quarter of last year, up from 3.8 million in the first quarter, according to new statistics from the Gambling Commission, which is based on industry data covering about 80% of the UK's online gambling market.


While virtual betting and poker are slowing down, real event betting for the same periods suggests 5.3 million players, a static figure.
