UK gambling minister reiterates confidence in financial risk checks

The UK's minister for gambling, has reaffirmed his desire for financial risk assessments so as to prevent undue disruption and harm to the sector.

Speaking at a conference held by the Betting and Gaming Council, he emphasized that the checks will offer reasonable and unambiguous guidelines and won't burden clients with requests for information.

A 100,000-signature petition opposing the white paper's implementation sparked a formal parliamentary debate on Monday, during which the proposals were criticized.
