UK mandatory levy consultation expected'soon'

The Department for Culture, Media, and Sport of the UK government is anticipated to initiate its consultation on a formal toll "shortly." Verifying this update, Ian Angus, the director of policy at the UK Gambling Commission, affirmed that the regulator would be providing and publicizing its guidance to the DMCS. The formal toll was among the prominent suggestions introduced in the UK white paper, which was released in April with the objective of modernizing the Gambling Act 2005. While primarily associated with updating the legislation to fit the digital era, the toll proposal is just one of several significant aspects addressed by the white paper.

It's interesting to see the UK government taking steps to modernize their gambling laws. I'm curious to see how the consultation will play out and what changes will be made to the current legislation. Hopefully, they'll find a balance that works for everyone involved.
