UK may consider a crackdown on gambling advertisements a la Australia to reduce addiction

According to the Times, the UK government is thinking of adopting Australia's lead and toughening the warning that are used in gambling adverts in an effort to reduce addiction.
The Australian endeavor was cited as a good model by Paul Scully, minister for technology, culture, multimedia, and sport, in a recent address.
According to The Times, Australia's very forceful marketing included the phrases "chances are you're about to lose" and "think what you'd be buying instead."

If that would work efficiently and effectively, then the UK government should borrow leaf from the Australia lead and measures in tackling gambling addiction.
Special focus should be placed on gambling advertisements made by gambling operators in the country. They must all desist from any promo that would encourage public in to gambling.
