UK National Lottery technology overhaul could negatively impact charities

Delays have plagued the new UK lottery operator Allwyn Entertainment's tech overhaul implementation, which has been so troublesome that it's "like trying to stick a Microsoft system on top of an Apple computer."
As a result, there are now worries that the massive Czech lottery company, formerly known as Sazka, will not be able to fulfill its charitable obligations.

The recent technology overhaul of the UK's National Lottery, following the handover from Camelot to Allwyn, has raised concerns over its impact on charitable funding. Despite Allwyn’s promises to boost contributions to good causes, the company has acknowledged that the transition may initially fall short. With planned updates to technology and retail infrastructure being delayed, there are worries that the amount of money directed to charitable causes could see slower growth in the near term than originally anticipated.
