Undercover Oregon Lottery investigation reveals theft of $25,000 winning ticket

A $25,000 winning lottery ticket was stolen and attempted to be claimed by an Oregon Lottery retailer employee, who is now facing charges following an undercover investigation.

During a sting operation, the Oregon Lottery and Oregon State Police apprehended a lottery retailer employee and revealed that a $25,000 ticket had been stolen.

After scanning the tickets and telling the detectives that none of them were winners, the anonymous store employee kept the $25,000 winning ticket. After that, investigators suggested that Oregon Lottery employees put the ticket on "hold."
