A €400,000 fine for permitting self-excluded players on its platform will not be appealed, according to the business that runs Unibet in the Netherlands. Several players who enrolled on the platform during the 2022 World Cup had their self-exclusion status improperly checked by Optdeck, according to an inquiry conducted by the Dutch gaming regulator. According to the regulator, the operator failed to appropriately verify the players' BSN numbers, which need to be compared to the self-exclusion record prior to admission.
