Vancouver man retains $2million lottery jackpot after judge dismisses lawsuit by coworkers

A group of co-workers failed to convince a judge that they were entitled to a $2 million windfall, which was to be kept by a truck driver from Vancouver who won the lottery.

The plaintiffs claimed said that in 2021 and 2022, the five men regularly bought lottery tickets together. And it is doubtful whether the winner had any intention of notifying them of his win.

The winning ticket was purchased for just $12, according to British Columbia Lottery records. This does not specify group purchases.
