Victoria Gambling and Casino Control Commission fine three casino operators simultaneously

Three venues that violated their approved opening hours were fined a total of $39,694 by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission.
The three casinos in Victoria had pokies that customers were still playing after hours, according to the regulator. The commission stated that it chooses to use the available enforcement action—fining the casinos—because it takes such offenses seriously.

It was noted by the agency that venue operators have the option to participate in a free service provided by Intralot Gaming Services, which automatically turns on and off poker machines in accordance with operating hours.

These fines reflect the VGCCC's commitment to ensuring that casino operators in Victoria comply with gambling laws and regulations, and that they prioritize responsible gambling practices to minimize harm to patrons.
