Victoria outlaws youth-related sports betting

All athletic activities where all participants are minors are subject to the VGCCC's prohibition. In Victoria, it is also illegal to wager on an individual athlete under the age of 18 who is competing in senior or junior competitions. When a player is a minor, this involves placing bets on outcomes like first goal scorer or first wicket taken. Even when minors are participating in senior sports, wagers can still be placed on the results of the teams. Sports governing organizations have been instructed to change their contracts with bookmakers so that markets involving minors are not offered. Other sports not supervised by an authorized sports regulatory organization are also subject to the prohibition, according to the VGCCC.
