Vietnam government considering $2.2billion casino in Van Don

An integrated resort casino is being proposed by the Vietnamese government in a particular area of the Van Don Special Economic Zone. The Ministry of Planning and Investment in Vietnam is proposing the nearly $2.2 billion project.

According to Vietnamese government representatives from the Planning and Investment Ministry, an integrated resort and casino complex in Van Don would provide employment for 6,000 people and bring in $336 million for the state government annually. The ministry's proposal lacked specifics about what the resort might consist of.
