Virginia unions set to rally for a casino project

Next week, a number of unions in Virginia and the Washington, D.C., metro area say they will unite in support of a gaming resort in Tysons, a census-designated area in Fairfax County that is home to some of the biggest corporations in the nation.

The 200,000-square-foot casino floor they had in mind would have enough space for thousands of slot machines, more than 100 live dealer table games, and a sportsbook. The resort's four million square foot plan also featured affordable housing, a performing arts center, a hotel, a convention center, and a number of eateries and bars.
