Virginia woman wins lottery jackpot after buying ticket for first time

For a Virginia woman who recently won a $50,000 lottery jackpot, it was lucky that it was her first time.

The winner decided to purchase her first lottery ticket for herself while out and about in mid-April.

It turned out that was a wise choice because her ticket was selected as the winner of the Pick 5 game drawing.

With her winnings, the winner told the Virginia Lottery that she intended to contribute to her sister's college expenses.
