Voluntary self-exclusion programme launched to help Jamaicans tackle gambling addiction

Although there isn't a gambling addiction crisis in Jamaica, the compulsive nature of the habit can have major repercussions for the individual as well as their family, according to the program manager at RISE Life Management Services.

He notes that for every person afflicted, eight to ten family members are also impacted, even though gambling addiction is less common than addiction to other substances.
