VTA Bus driver fatally shot by coworker over gambling debt

One person was killed late last week in a shooting in San Jose, California. Police arrested a man they believed to be responsible for the murder, which was purportedly caused by an unpaid gambling debt.

Because of his involvement in the crime, the 33-year-old suspect could be charged with first-degree murder. In California, there are severe penalties for first-degree murder. If found guilty of such offenses, a person will be executed.
