What advice would you give to a friend who loves playing poker but is starting to struggle with an addiction? Online poker seems tempting with easy access and round-the-clock gaming, but I've seen finances and relationships suffer. Staying away from the casino for a while to detox could help, along with hobbies to fill the time. Ultimately, willpower is needed to recognize when enough is enough and put real-life priorities first. What other suggestions do you have to help a poker buddy regain control over this fun pastime before it controls him? I'd like to help without judgment, but could use wise advice from others who have beat a gambling addiction.

Any player who is struggling with poker addiction should tread it softly. This is compulsive drive that must not be allowed to take control of our mindset.
Any gambler who is suffering from addiction should consult a therapist who would advice and guide him on steps to be taken in order to be free from the addiction. He must continue to gamble responsibly no matter his impulsive drives.
