As a poker player, gradually going all-in is dangerous. Common mistakes: betting too fast; not defending your chip lead; calling weak hands just to stay in the game. It’s better to fold marginal hands and wait for superior positions/cards. Raising too much or too fast gives away your hand strength and position. Build pots carefully by calling or raising incrementally with good starting hands and solid reads on opponents' play. Avoid being drawn into big pots with weak holdings. Perceive each bet as an opportunity to win more chips or fold for minimal loss.

As you play more poker, you'll start to get a feel for the different types of players at the table. Some players are loose and aggressive, while others are tight and passive. You need to adjust your play accordingly. If you're playing against a loose player, you can afford to play more hands. But if you're playing against a tight player, you need to be more selective.
