Beginners should be careful about placing outside bets on roulette as the odds are unfavourable. Inside bets have better odds of winning, though small. Straight Bet: This is the simplest inside bet. You place your bet on a single number by placing your chips directly on that number.

Split Bet: You place your bet on the line between two adjacent numbers, which allows you to cover both numbers. If either of the numbers comes up, you win.

Street Bet: You place your bet on a row of three numbers on the roulette table. The chip is placed on the outer edge of the row, and if any of the three numbers are hit, you win.
