Playing high-stakes poker means larger pots and bigger wins—but also greater risks. Stakes are higher, mistakes cost more, and one bad beat can wipe out a big stack. Emotions run stronger at higher limits, increasing the chances of poor decisions and reckless plays. The time required and stress levels rise dramatically for minimal incremental gains. Is high-stakes poker truly rewarding, or is the thrill of big blinds outweighing the substantial risks of financial ruin?

Poker, I used to say it is not meants for upcoming casino gamblers. Poker is meant for professionals who happen to be risk takers. Poker is high investment venture that is FIL of risk. Despite all this, some gamblers are still making money out of it.

Given the huge potential for winning and for losing, I think a key risk of high stakes poker is that a person may develop high blood pressure and die instantly while in the game.
It is my hope that the organizers of these events ensure that an adequate number of medical professionals are at hand to address such types of emergencies.

The stakes are obviously higher, you can win big, but you can also lose big. Second, high-stakes games often attract more experienced and skilled players, so the competition can be fierce.
