Casinos, man, they're good at playing the game. Not just the games they rig to take your money, but the bigger game of skirting the rules and making bank however they can get away with.
They know the whales and high rollers are where the real money's at, so these pampered souls get whatever they want. Rules? What rules? There are always exceptions for their best customers.
Plus casinos are masters of distraction and confusion. Those books are cooked to perfection, such a tangled web of money in and money out. Even the gaming commission's eyes glaze over trying to make sense of it, so any shadiness slips right under the radar.
And don't think casinos can't put in a fix when they need to. Whether it's greasing political wheels to torpedo unfavorable laws, or quick-settling gripes from players to avoid a stink, count on casinos having tricks to spare.
The house ultimately always wins because marks will keep lining up to lose, but why not stack the deck while you're at it with misleading ads, preying on gambling addiction, targeting poor suckers who can least afford to lose? Hell, why not just rig the games when you can get away with it? It's all profit in the end.
So that's why my advice is know who you're really up against at the casino. The rigging and sketchy stuff may not always be out in the open, but make no mistake—the house rules. Play for fun if you want, but the smart money's on them, not you.
