What are some up-cards that you think are good for doubling down?

I always have a difficult time deciding whether to double down with certain up-cards, mainly 'soft' hands with Aces. I tend to double with hard totals of 8, 9 and 10 but can never remember the optimum strategy for soft hands like 11 through 18 with an Ace. I would appreciate some guidelines from experienced players on doubling with soft totals.

Thanks for this informative post...I'm new to this game so I don't have much contribution to make concerning this post. But I'm open to learning tho
How were you able to know that much about casino games?

It may be advantageous to double down if you have a total of 9, 10, or 11 and the dealer's up card is one of the following: 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6. These low-value dealer up cards suggest a greater chance that the dealer will bust.

One example is when the dealer's up-card is a 6. The reason for this is that the dealer is more likely to bust when they have a 6 as their up-card. This is because there are more high cards (10, J, Q, K, A) left in the deck, which increases the chances of the dealer going over 21.
