In Blackjack, players aim to get a hand value as close to 21 as possible without exceeding it. Each player starts with two cards and can choose to hit (take another card), stand (keep their current hand), double down (double their bet and take one more card), or split pairs into separate hands. Card values are based on face value for numbered cards, ten for face cards, and one or eleven for aces. The dealer follows specific rules, typically hitting until reaching at least 17. The objective is to surpass the dealer's hand value without going over 21, determining the outcome of the bets. Understanding these rules is essential for effective play.

In Blackjack, players strive to build a hand value as close to 21 as they can without going over it. At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt two cards. The player then has the option to hit (request another card), stand (keep their current hand), double down (double their initial bet and receive one more card), or split pairs (if dealt a pair of cards with the same value, you can split them into two separate hands and play each hand individually).

The value of the cards is as follows: numbered cards are worth their face value, face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are all worth 10, and Aces can be counted as 1 or 11 points, depending on which value benefits the hand more without going over 21.

The dealer plays according to specific rules, usually hitting until they reach a hand value of at least 17. The objective for the player is to beat the dealer's hand without exceeding a total of 21. If a player's hand exceeds 21, they bust, automatically losing the round and their bet. The outcome of the bets is determined by whether the player's hand is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand without going over.

Understanding these basic rules is crucial for effective gameplay and increasing the chances of winning in Blackjack.
