While the thrill of poker reduces stress, the legality and tax responsibilities of playing professionally concern me. If I win enough to quit my job, will I owe income taxes on my winnings? Could sites shut me out if discovered I'm +EV, or charge taxes I can't afford? Regulations seem hazy, enforcement uneven. The game is fun, but the laws and levies, oh what a world! Living on card games poses peril as well as possibilities.
