What are the steps to take in order to choose the best betting strategy?

One of the first step that I think we should take before choosing a betting strategy is to backtest our strategy and once it is tested and we are sure that it can work, then we can go ahead to adopt it. This is my own contribution to the topic but I would also like to listen to The solutions of members of this forum too. So that we'll be able to follow steps that would be needed to adopt a particular betting strategy.

There are many steps we can take to safeguard our betting strategy. But one thing I want everybody to know is that no strategy works for long. This explains why you have to be flexible and dynamic in learning more strategies. The one you are using, don't be overly on it, there maybe mistakes at time.
