While Atletico Madrid finished a distant second in La Liga last season, Barcelona is coming off a hard-fought 1-0 victory against its title rivals, and they appear ready to contend for the championship this time around. Barcelona is in excellent form and has won four of their previous five games. They have, however, had trouble transferring their strong defensive play from La Liga to cup competitions; most recently, they gave up three goals to Intercity in the Copa del Rey, and all it took was an extra-time goal from Ansu Fati to defeat the underdogs 4-3. In six games, they have only allowed two clean sheets, but in three of their previous five games, they have scored two goals or more.

In the most recent instance, they conceded three goals to Intercity in the Copa del Rey, and all it took was a goal from Ansu Fati in extra time to defeat the underdogs 4-3. This defensive strength has carried over from La Liga to cup competitions. They have only surrendered two clean sheets in six games, but three of their previous five games saw them score two goals or more.

I think that Barcelona will carry the day purely down to their cutting edge in the attacking third of the pitch as compared to Bet is, who are also a very good side as well, to be fair. It will be a close one but I tip the Catalan club to win
