If they asked me to overhaul poker, a few changes I’d make. I’d increase the blinds slower, watching them jump up too fast just churns out good players looking to play tighter. I’d add more small and mid-stakes games, the games are getting deeper and deeper. Short-stack play is exciting, we need more of that.
And we gotta do something about these internet players. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the action, but when I’m playing $1000/2000 and look up to see some nit on his laptop 3-tabling $1/2 games, it’s just sad. Give ‘em a bonus for racing up limits or something. Poker’s a craft, an art form really, you can’t learn it pressing ‘fold’ every hand. But what do I know, I’m just a players, this is just my two cents! The man upstairs always wins anyway. All gas, no brakes!
