What do casinos do with old chips?

I witness a situation whereby a delivery company delivers new chips for the game house. This prompts a question on my mind that what are they going to do with the old chips because they have plenty of them. I tried to ask one of the attendance but no good answer.

One of the questions I have in my mind to ask you guys is that What do casinos do with old chips? I'll be glad if anyone here can tell me his or her opinion on this looking forward to your comments below.

In casinos, outdated chips that are no longer in use are routinely destroyed to stop counterfeiting and unauthorized usage. Shredding, incineration, or other safe disposal techniques are examples of destruction techniques that render the chips useless.
