In roulette, the colors red and black are used to distinguish between the odd and even numbers on the wheel. The green slots represent the 0 and 00, which are neither odd nor even. The colors themselves don't have any inherent meaning beyond this, but they can be used to create betting strategies. For example, some players prefer to bet on the opposite color after a streak of one color to try and capitalize on statistical variance.

On the roulette wheel, even-numbered pockets are among the black numbers. Black numbers, like red ones, are used for a variety of wagers, including bets on single numbers and groups of numbers.

The colors on the roulette wheel each have meaning. Red and black are the groups that most of the numbers belong to. Red numbers are 1, 3, 5, etc and black are 2, 4, 6, etc. There is also green which is zero.
