Banning poker is unjust and freedom-crushing. Poker is a game of skill, not chance, that responsible adults should be able to enjoy recreationally if they choose. Some countries claim poker promotes gambling addiction, but that is a flimsy excuse. They are robbing their citizens of the opportunity to exercise strategy, make calculated risks, and form bonds over friendly competition and shared experiences. Poker brings people together and is a vital part of American culture. Countries that ban poker are opening the door to excessive control and abandoning liberty. The cards should stay on the table!
