In sports betting, a tie or push occurs when the final score of a game or event results in a tie or falls exactly on the point spread or total line set by the sportsbook. In this case, the bet is considered a push or a tie, and the bettor's stake is refunded. This is because the sportsbook neither wins nor loses the bet.

That's correct! A push occurs when neither team or participant covers the spread or total exactly as it was set by the sportsbook. For example, if a sportsbook sets the point spread at -5 and the favorite wins by exactly 5 points, that would be considered a push, and all bets on that game would be refunded. The same applies to the total line, where if the final score ends up exactly on the line set by the sportsbook, all bets on that game are refunded. It's important to note that a push or tie is different from a win or loss, and it doesn't count towards a bettor's win-loss record.

Even up till now, I'm yet to understand the principle of push or tie. I haven't experienced in betting or maybe I didn't notice it. I want detail explanation on this strategy so that I would be looking for it anytime I'm in football betting.

If a game or event ends in a tie or push, it typically means that neither team or participant has won. The specific rules and consequences vary depending on the sport or game. In some cases, the competition may have overtime periods or tiebreaker rules to determine a winner. In others, the result might stand as a draw, and each team or participant earns a point

I don't think I have witnessed this happen before , because for me it looks like it's actually not common in sport betting ,there are other concept but have not seen this kind of happen in betting

In some football betting companies, when you pick a team to win or lose, and in 90 minutes, the match ends in a draw, your money is refunded regardless of what happens in extra time or penalties.
