I was watching a post on Facebook just of recent and I discovered that one of my friend has gone to United States as a tourist. I know this guy like to play a lot of lottery and he has one sometimes. I believe he is going to do the same thing in u.s..

One of the questions I want to ask you guys is that What happens if a tourist wins the US lottery? I'll be glad if anyone can tell me in the comment section below.

If a non-US citizen wins the US lottery, they are still eligible to claim their prize. However, there are a few things that they need to be aware of. First, they will be subject to a 30% federal withholding tax on their winnings.

Most of the countries which allow non residents to take part in a lottery they offer full rights to players and that is where if the person win as a tourist he should have no problem claiming the lottery prize indeed .
