What happens if the system crashes while you are in the middle of a online poker hand?

Online casinos have become more reliable in recent times, and poker has been one of the most popular games played. However, system crashes can still occur. This is very rare and most often associated with downloaded software that has been corrupted, and since most players use instant play these days it’s not widely reported any more. Have you ever experienced a system crash while playing a poker hand, and what was the casino's stance on it?

It is very rare that this will happen. In fact, it has not been reported that a case like that has happened before. But if it happens, the company may have to bear the losses of the players in a saner country.

I have never heard of this happening because of the sheer investment that online casinos tend to place on software and its efficiency. However, I was just wondering what steps would be taken by the casino if this were to happen?

@ bigron. No other step other than to look into the cause of the crash. And then they need to check their database to get the information of the last bettors to know how to compensate them for their losses. I guess that should be the next action

Your suggestion is valid. The online casinos would need to reimburse multiple punters who staked an amount of money on that game. The problem is that others would also try and imply that their servers were down in order to take advantage of the mass refund.
