Step 1: Understand the Objective
The objective of baccarat is to predict which hand, the Player or the Banker, will have a total closest to 9.
Step 2: Know the Card Values
In baccarat, the card values differ from other card games. Aces count as 1, numbered cards (2-9) are worth their face value, and 10s and face cards (J, Q, K) have a value of 0.
Step 3: Familiarize Yourself with the Betting Options
There are three main betting options in baccarat: Player, Banker, and Tie.
Betting on the Player: If you bet on the Player's hand and it wins, you receive a 1:1 payout (even money).
Betting on the Banker: If you bet on the Banker's hand and it wins, you also receive a 1:1 payout. However, a 5% commission is typically charged on Banker bets.
Betting on a Tie: Betting on a Tie means you predict that both the Player and Banker hands will have the same total. Ties have higher payout odds (usually 8:1 or 9:1), but they occur less frequently. Keep in mind that Tie bets carry a higher house edge, so they are generally considered riskier.
