In poker, a depolarized range construction refers to a range of hands that includes both strong and weak hands, but excludes the strongest and weakest hands. This type of range is sometimes also called a condensed range since it focuses on medium strength hands. The idea behind a depolarized range is that it is less exploitable because it is more difficult for an opponent to accurately guess the strength of a player's hand. Depolarized ranges are often used as a counter-strategy against players who frequently use polarized ranges, which only include very strong hands and very weak hands. By using a depolarized range, a player can make it more difficult for their opponent to accurately deduce the strength of their hand.
