A sit and go (SNG) poker tournament is a type of tournament that begins as soon as a predetermined number of players have registered to play. SNG tournaments usually have a smaller number of players compared to larger, multi-table tournaments and can last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the number of players and the tournament structure.In a SNG tournament, each player starts with the same number of chips and the blinds increase over time, leading to a gradually shrinking number of players as players are eliminated. The tournament continues until only one player remains, who is declared the winner and receives the prize pool, which is usually comprised of the buy-ins from the participating players.
