In Baccarat, pip value is the value of each card, with Aces being valued at one, and face cards and 10s being valued at zero. All other cards are worth their pip value, meaning their numerical value. For example, a two is worth two points, a four is worth four points, and so on. In order to win a round, a player must bet on either the Player or Banker hand, and have a hand with a value of eight or nine. If neither has a hand with a value of eight or nine, then the banker is allowed to receive a third card, with different rules depending on the variant being played

The term pip value refers to the numerical value assigned to cards from two to nine. These cards are worth their face value, so a two of hearts is worth two points, and a nine of diamonds is worth nine points.
