In poker, sucking out refers to a situation in which a player who initially had a very low probability of winning a hand ends up winning anyway by catching a fortunate card or combination of cards. For example, if a player goes all in with a pair of Aces, and their opponent calls with a pair of Kings, but then catches two additional Kings on the flop and turn to make a full house and win the hand, this could be considered as sucking out. The term is generally used to describe a situation in which a player was far behind in the hand but managed to win anyway through a stroke of luck.
