Super Pay Egalite (SPE) is an additional optional side bet in the game of Punto Banco, where players can wager on specific ties with different odds offered for a tie on each final result. SPE is similar to UR Way Egalite(URE) in that it allows wagers on specific ties, with the ties grouped into five different subsets. The player can make any one or more of the following five wagers: That the result of the hand will be a tie on 0, paying 160-to-1; that the result of the hand will be a tie on 1, 2 or 3, paying 70-to-1; that the result of the hand will be a tie on 4 or 5, paying 60-to-1; that the result of the hand will be a tie on 6 or 7, paying 22-to-1; or that the result of the hand will be a tie on 8 or 9, paying 40-to-1. The bets and pays can vary depending on the casino, and at some casinos players can bet on all ten possible ties from 0-0 to 9-9. By using a custom designed counting system for each of the ten possible ties, URE and SPE can be effectively crushed and a team of five counters can earn $3,979 per 100 hands playing against the SPE wager.
