In my experience as a pro casino player, hard hands at blackjack tend to win more in the long run because there are less decisions to make compared to soft hands. This means less room for mistakes and less chance the dealer gets lucky. I'd estimate around 5-10% average higher winnings for hard hands 17 and over in most common blackjack games. However, skill and strategy still matters the most, not just hard or soft hands alone.

Hard hands that have values between 12 and 16 are typically harder to play optimally because there's a greater chance that you'll burst if you hit. As a result, compared to soft hands, hard hands within this range can have a somewhat lower average winning potential.

In blackjack, a hard hand is a hand that does not contain an ace. A soft hand is a hand that contains an ace, which can be counted as either 1 or 11 depending on the player's preference. The average winnings for hard hands are typically lower than the average winnings for soft hands.
