Poker and blackjack are two of the most widely-played casino games, whether that’s offline or online. They have even been featured in mainstream media, such as the James Bond movies, to cite an example. However, those new to gambling may seem confused by the two traditional games, since there is not much that separates them. With this in mind, could you elucidate the distinctions between poker and blackjack?

Blackjack is a house-banked game, which means that when you win, the house loses, and when you lose, the house wins. Poker is a player banked game, as the house has no interest at all in the pot, they just take out a small percentage as a fee, and the winning and losing of money is strictly between the players

This is as clear a distinction as you will get between the two games, I must say. Poker is played more or less between various players, whereas in blackjack you are somewhat competing against the house because of the house edge involved.
