A regular straddle in poker is when a player puts in a blind bet before the cards are dealt, usually from UTG position. It is a voluntary blind raise and the player who straddles gets to act last pre-flop. The straddle is typically double the big blind, but can be any amount agreed upon by the players in advance.

A sleeper straddle, on the other hand, is when a player puts in a blind bet after they have posted a blind already and the action has moved past them. This move is used to create additional action and to take control of the betting from their opponents. It is usually put in a middle or late position.

The main difference between a regular straddle and a sleeper straddle is the position from which the player puts in the bet. A regular straddle is put in from the UTG position before any cards are dealt, while a sleeper straddle is put in from a later position after some of the action has already taken place

The player in the immediate position does the standard straddle before the action starts, whereas the player making the sleeper straddle must proclaim their intention before the cards are dealt and is not in a position to act right away.

i think sleeper straddle is similar to a regular straddle, except the player placing the straddle bet has the option to wait until after the flop to reveal the bet and add the extra chips to the pot. This can add an element of surprise to the game and potentially catch other players off guard.
