The sleeping dozen strategy in roulette is a betting strategy that involves betting on twelve numbers at once. This strategy is based on the belief that certain numbers may be "sleeping", or not coming up often enough, and so betting on them may improve the chances of winning. The twelve numbers are usually chosen from the first, second, and third dozen, and the bet is placed on the outside of the roulette table. This strategy is often used in combination with other strategies, such as the martingale system, in order to increase the chances of winning.
