What is the starting behavior of an addicted gambler?

The starting behavior of an addicted gambler can vary, but there are a few common patterns that are often seen. First, many addicted gamblers start by gambling recreationally, but as they continue to gamble, they find that they need to gamble more and more in order to get the same thrill or feeling of excitement. This can lead to chasing losses and spending more money than they can afford on gambling.

Additionally, addicted gamblers often become preoccupied with gambling, even when they are not actively gambling. They may spend a lot of time thinking about gambling, and may feel restless or irritable when they are not able to gamble. They may also begin to neglect other responsibilities, such as work or family obligations, in order to gamble.

Another common behavior of addicted gamblers is that they may try to hide their gambling from others or lie about how much they are gambling. They may also feel guilty or ashamed about their gambling behavior, but continue to gamble anyway.

Overall, the starting behavior of an addicted gambler can be difficult to spot, as many people who develop a gambling addiction start out gambling in a seemingly harmless way. However, it is important to be aware of the warning signs of a gambling problem, such as the ones mentioned above, in order to help prevent addiction or provide support for those who may be struggling with it.
