Firstly you can't help anybody that's addicted if the person is not accepting that he's an addict. You can't help someone that does not need help. We can only do little by trying to encourage people that at addicted that they can still live a better life.

It is ideal to first try and persuade them to engage in less gambling activities by showing them the demerits of compulsive gambling. This is more cost-effective than taking the victim to therapy, for example.
