When dealt a hard twelve in blackjack- that means your cards total 12- I always recommend taking another card. In my experience of playing at casinos for years, hitting on a hard 12 ends up winning more often than not. The odds of "busting," or getting a total over 21, are only slightly higher than the odds of improving your hand. So my move is usually to hit and hope for a 10 or face card to improve my total. I advise taking calculated risks at the blackjack table.
