Only chase the straight if you got two or three of the suite already. Don't go after a straight draw with all different suits, that's just askin' for trouble.
Make sure ya got odds to improve, see if the deck is still mostly unburned. If most cards been dealt, straight draws get slim.
Bet enough to keep folks in the hand, but don't get too fancy. You wanna see more cards without scopin' your draw.
Pay attention to the action. See how many players are still live and who seems interested in the pot. They may be chasin' a draw too, so their raises become less likely.
